Do you have an ethnic recipe that you want to share?

To get the ball rolling, here are two recipes.

Greek Cabbage Dish

This recipe came from Tanya's Greek friend, Kleoni.

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/2 medium cabbage, finely sliced
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork or turkey or chicken or organic bison, which I used
  • juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 bunch of chopped parsley (lots!)
  • salt and pepper to taste

In a large sauce-pot, sauté onion and meat for 5 minutes.
Add cabbage, and sauté for another 5 minutes.
Add rice, water, parsley, salt and pepper, but not lemon juice.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring once in a while, so the rice cooks evenly to "doneness".
Just before the 20 minutes are up, add the lemon juice.

This is an easy ethnic dish.
We use organic products where possible.
